In the field of laboratory and device technology cetoni already developed a number of innovative and intelligent solutions. The spectrum reaches from high-tech on smallest space (Decapper) up to a completely servo-controlled paper guide system of a digital photo printer.
The Decapper is a device for automated opening of sample tubes, e.g. for blood and urine samples. 12 different kinds of tubes can be decapped within a cycle time of less than 9 seconds. All components are placed in a housing of only
260 x 207 x 90 mm.
Gates is an automatic path-guiding and controlling system for single sample tubes used for the medical analysis field. For this system 4 components were designed at cetoni.
The Divert Gate Gate functions as a switch at which the barcode of an incoming tube is read and then the tube is guided to the main or side conveyor dependant on the coding.
The Interface Gate is used as an interface to various analysis devices. After the barcode was read and the data was transferred to the main PC, the tube is withdrawn by a robot and taken to the analysis. Then, the tube is brought back with the robot, the barcode is reported to the main PC again and the tube is guided back to the main conveyor.
The Puck Rotator rotates the tubes during the barcode reading process so that the code can be scanned.
The Bridge Breaker prevents that the tubes get stuck when they are processed to the main conveyor. Here it ensures that the tubes get in lane smooth.
