Standardized device parameter access

CETONI devices are connected via the CAN bus and use the CANopen protocol for standardized access to all device parameters. The Siemens S7 controllers do not support a CAN bus by default, but use Profibus or Profinet for the connection of decentralized devices.

However, you can expand your S7 controllers with CAN bus and CANopen capabilities via corresponding modules from third party suppliers and thus integrate our pumps with the maximum possible CAN bus data rates of 1 Mbps. Alternatively, you can use the RS232 interface to connect the neMESYS pumps to your S7 controller. Then the data rate is limited to a maximum of 115200 kbit/s.

The CM CANopen enables you to connect any CANopen or CAN 2.0A device to the SIMATIC S7-1200 PLC. With the appropriate adapter cable you simply connect your CETONI devices to the CAN bus or RS232 interface of your controller. The 24V for the power supply of the CETONI devices can be connected via the two cable strands.
