We are happy to announce the launch of QmixElements Version v20160420. Once again, we loaded this latest version with a large number of improvements, extensions and new features, including the integration of new script functions and the support of new devices (LED Array V2, rotAXYS360, spectrometer modules) as well as new device functions, such as automatic valve switching for neMESYS pumps and novel features, such as the new QmixElements project management.

The new graphical pressure gauges for neMESYS syringe pumps help you keep an eye on the values measures by the integrated pressure sensors. The pressure gauges visualize the current sensor measurements in the form of digits and bar diagrams. Display color, ranging from green (low pressure) to yellow (medium pressure) to red (high pressure), gives you a quick indication of the pressure range currently experienced by each module. It also lets you see which module approaches critical condition, so you can act quickly.

Intuitive and easy to use

The new rotAXYS 360 plugin for the QmixElements software makes controlling the rotAXYS 360 sample handler a breeze. This easy to use and clearly structured, intuitive user interface lets you get acquainted with the system very quickly.

Using the relevant script functions, you can integrate the rotAXYS 360 Probenhandler into your processes and automate sample handling in no time at all. Programming processes, such as scanning a titer plate, becomes great fun, thanks to graphical programming tools using drag & drop and powerful scripting functions.

Improved Syringe Representation, Pressure Gauges, Pump Type Display…

We enhanced the graphical user interface for controlling neMESYS pumps with many detailed improvements. You are now able to see which module type (high pressure, medium pressure…) you are working with and what type of syringe (glass or stainless steel) you are using. We have also improved the configuration dialog for SI-units with respect to flow rates and volumes. The integrated graphical pressure gauges let you keep an eye on your pumps’ pressure sensors.


Project Management

All your data and settings in one project

The new QmixElements project management system now lets you save all the data, settings and parameters you configured through the software in a project. All of the important parameters, such as device configuration, device names, dynamic control channels or I/O channel scaling values can be saved in a project. Saved data will be restored when you switch between projects.

This makes it much easier to restore settings of previous projects, archive recorded data or share complete projects and all of their settings with other employees.

Optimal Configuration for Automatic Valve Switching

Thanks to the new automatic valve system, manual switching of neMESYS valves is a thing of the past. For each of the three pump states – Dispensing, Aspirating and Stopped – you can configure whether the valve should be switched and which target position to switch to. The automatic mode can be activated or deactivated at any time with the click of a mouse. If automatic mode is active, the valve switches automatically to a pre-configured position any time the pump’s state changes, for example when switching from dispensing to aspirating.

For all Qmix Lambda Spectrometer Modules

The new QmixElements spectroscopy plugin lets you integrate Qmix Lambda spectrometer modules into QmixElements software. In this way you can set all important parameters, such as integration time, filtering or baseline correction. The integrated peak detection function automatically marks detected peaks within the spectrum. Recorded spectrums can be exported as images or data for later analysis.
